I just enjoy Russians. I also enjoy folk lore type stories. And as a modern, Russian, folk lore type story i like it. Though as a “horror” movie it’s totally crap. But whatever. Im sorry I peed in your Cheerios.

the movies are awesome. and i HIGHLY recommend watching it with english subtitles… because there are some scenes where the subtitles are used in creative ways.

To be truly honest i watched it last night i havent read the books or anything but i thought this movie was jawdroppingly shit the beggining of the film is the best bit aswell as the vampire fight scene but thats it theres no real gore and no horror its just pathetic

The first movie only covers like, the first act of the first book. Even then they changed some things. Like Egor is now Anton’s estranged son. And also when Anton was human he attempted to have a curse placed on the little guy to have him killed because he thought the child wasn’t his. Anton’s former wife was cheating on him, blah blah blah. Other than that it’s pretty close.

Is this supposed to be based off the book by Lukyanenko? It doesn’t have anything in common with it, except for the fact there’s a Treaty involved.
It looks like a cool movie but it seems to be nothing like the books..

yeah, it’s based on.. but the film is a little different from the book. there are the same chartacters but the story is not excatly according to the book..
nevertheless the film is goog.. worth seeing it
