I know this is small and petty..but hearing Can in a movie trailer kind of forces me to watch the movie.

Thank god it happens to be an actually great film.

I don’t care about walking around with red flags.
The reforms of the past still leaves us where we are today – just a modern form of hell.
I have no intention of making this system more ‘responsive to our needs’, but to engage in conflict with it until it breaks and they finally ‘lose control’ so that anti-authoritarian autonomous communities can flourish in the space that was once so constricted with a stifled, suppressed way of life.

I think it was Mussolini, but that’s not important. I am not an expert on German politics, but I don’t think that Merkel can be compared to Hitler. I will not deny that there are econimic and social problems in Germany as well as here in the U.S., but there’s been A LOT of progress made in terms of labor rights. It is fine to reform the system so it is more responsive to the needs of the disadvantaged, but walking around with red flags is not going to change anything.

Yes, we have ‘benefited society’ far too long don’t ya think?
Isn’t it about time we started benefiting ourselves?
Some say Hitler had the trains run on time, so you could argue that that was beneficial to society, but it doesn’t mean that we should keep perpetuating the misery that keeps our culture running.

  8. Jewchai November 29, 2009 4:44 pm

Or you could just get a job and do something that will actually benefit society.

  18. m0bi November 29, 2009 4:44 pm

But at least we can learn from their mistakes.
Most pro-revolutionaries today know that ‘armed struggle’ or ‘guerilla war’ is flawed and can only take you so far.
What we aim for these days is a social war, and we have many other tools at our disposal other than just guns:
occupations, blockades, strikes, sabotage, theft, arson, ‘economic damage’, propaganda, street conflict, etc.
And instead of being holed up somewhere in a gun fight, our conflict will be spread across the whole social terrain.

Emmerich make really bad movies, but i have no problem with that, but then he start to putting his evil eye on Foundation, and now he’s making the movie, at least the script. So FUCK Rolan Emmerich, he’s gonna make Foundation look like shit in the morning.

  25. Hudsucker94 November 29, 2009 4:44 pm

Not an emmerich fan, but is this just more mindless hate coming from the film snobs?
