If you’ve seen any other James Cameron movies you know that its always story and character first for him, with FX to enhance it. So your claims are really ridiculous, and based on nothing. Plus you got the ending wrong already.
ps tisdue….district 9 wasnt origanlly any movie peter jackson put blomkamp on the pedistal for the halo movie but finances and distribution rights said no….so peter jackson gave 30 mil and produced district 9 which is a completely original script which is also a remake of alive in joburg which is blomkamps first movie a short

This just not interesting to me. I mean think about it, this is about a soldier who’s part of a forceful army, they invade a peaceful native village thinking they are inferior. Then he falls in love with one of them, and struggles between choosing a side. Thats a very typical story to me. ones I can think top of my head is Pocahontas and Dances With Wolves. Only difference with this is there Aliens instead of Indians…
meh, when the official trailer comes out(as in not a teaser trailer) maybe but right now this teaser doesnt seem to make me wanna see the film

Nope. Its all from Cameron’s brilliant mind. District 9 was originally supposed to be the Halo movie, but they switched gears in development.

Actually, I think that the blue guys look like a cg render of the Kilrathi from the Wing Commander movie.
Actually, what’s really cool is that most of these scenes are still being completed and fully rendered over the next few months, so it will look even better in December. Can’t wait for the full theatrical trailer and film.
Not to knock the movie, because it looks and sounds incredible and I’m really pumped for it, but don’t the creatures look kind of ripped off.
I mean you’ve got the next generation of smurfs. Then there’s the jungle beast that looks like a blue Sammael from Hellboy and then the dragon that looks like a blue nasgul steed from The Lord of The Rings.
Even so, they all look great.
